Recipe(tried): Grilled Pork Steaks and Veggies with Savory Rice

Misc.
I marinate the steaks in mongolian fire oil, sesame oil, soy sauce and white pepper for a few hours, adding freshly grated ginger root for the last 15 minutes of marinating. Then I grill them on the bbq til just done (I don't get wigged if it's a tiny bit pink, now that pork is the "other white meat!), while also grilling sliced zucchini, green onions, young carrots and yellow squash which I've marinated in olive oil, garlic, rock salt and black pepper. I serve the steaks and veggies up with my own savory rice, which can be adapted to any meat or meal. I sautee chopped onions, garlic, and serranos or jalapenos in olive oil til slightly browned, then add the raw rice and cook it a few minutes, until it starts to change color slightly. I add beef or chicken broth instead of water, and cook according to regular rice rules. I serve it all up sprinkled with freshly-chopped green onion tops and cilantro. Yummy!!
