Recipe: Ham-Apple Turnovers (uisng refrigerated apple turnovers)

HAM-APPLE TURNOVERS

1 (12-ounce) package (6) refrigerated apple turnovers
1 1/2 cups diced fully cooked ham
3 Tablespoons bottle barbecue sauce
1 (* 1/2-ounce) can applesauce (optional)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Coat a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.

Meanwhile, unroll turnover pastry; separate into sections. Roll each section into a 5 1/2-inch square. Place 1/4 cup ham in center of each square.

Mix apple filling from turnovers with barbecue sauce; spoon 1 Tablespoon mixture over ham on each square. (Save icing from turnovers for another use).

Moisten edges. Fold pastry in half diagonally to form a triangle; press edges to seal. Place on prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.

In saucepan heat applesauce, if desired. Spoon over turnovers.
