Recipe(tried): Hash Brown Soup

1 pkg frozen hash browns
1 c chopped onion
1 c chopped celery, including tops
1 c chopped carrot
1 t red pepper flakes
broth to cover (chicken or vegetable)

Brown onions & celery in a little olive oil & red pepper flakes. Add hash browns, carrots, & broth. Cook until hash browns are cooked thru.
Variations:
1.add a pkg of frozen soup vegetables & left over meat.
2.add a pkg of fake lobster, a drained can of corn, & a can of evaporated milk for chowder
3.put all or part of soup in blender for creamed soup
