ISO: using frozen hashbrown potatoes

I have a package of frozen hashbrown potatoes (cut in small cubes) left over from a brunch casserole. Does anyone have a good side dish (that doesn't use canned soup) I could make to use them up? It is a store brand, only recipes on package are for frying them. Can they be used just like cubed fresh potatoes? Thanks for any suggestions.
