Recipe(tried): Hearty Breakfast (make ahead casserole)
Breakfast and BrunchHEARTY BREAKFAST
1/2 lb mild sausage
6 slices bread, cubed
1 cup grated sharp cheese
6 eggs
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 salt and pepper, to taste
Cook sausage and drain.
Grease large casserole with butter. Cover bottom with bread cubes. Layer crumbled sausage on top. Sprinkle with cheese. Beat eggs, milk and seasonings together. Pour over cheese. Refrigerate overnight.
WHEN READY TO BAKE:
Bake at 300 degrees F for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until set.
Makes 4 servings
