Recipe(tried): Here's an easy one

Menus

Jennifer, this is the good for you version. You can use hamberger although ground turkey is often cheaper and tastes just as good in this recipe. Make sure to drain and blot the meat. Use one egg instead of "egg-replacer" and any kind of milk will do. Also, use whatever cheese you have around too-I mean, cheddar, american, jack. I have another tip for you. You want to make this really easy some night? Just take tow cans of chili con carne-no beans or even chili with beans would work-and mix the corn and olives with it and cover it with cheese and corn bread. It works! Another thing I used to do with hamburger is fry them up, fry up some potatoes and make some brown gravy from a package mix. Pour the gravy on the potatoes and meat. You could actually mix in some bread crumbs with the meat and an egg and fry it up for a salsbury steak.

Name: Chili Pie
Serves: 4
Ingredients: 1-1/2 lb ground turkey
1 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp flour
1 pkg chili seasoning-I found one without onions-Western
Family (generic)
1 can tomato paste
1 can water
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 can sweet corn (sweet corn is all I had)
2 oz chopped olives (1/2 small can)
1 package Jiffy cornbread mix + 1 tbs egg replacer+ 1/3 Cup skim milk
2 cups shredded reduced fat cheddar cheese

Instructions: Heat oven to 350. Brown meat, add next seven ingredients with water and cook ten minutes. Mix cornbread and place cheese over meat. Spoon cornbread over cheese and bake 25 minutes.
