My husband re-created this syrup because it was what we had for our first married breakfast. Hope you all like it!
BANANA SYRUP
1 very ripe banana, mashed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp. dark molasses
1 1/2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce to a simmer, continue heating and stirring until desired thickness. Serve immediately, enjoy!
Tip: also try honey instead of sugar - 1/1 ratio
