Recipe: Oven-Fried Party Drummettes with Spicy Ranch Dipping Sauce

OVEN-FRIED PARTY DRUMMETTES


3 pounds chicken drummettes
2 teaspoons McCormick garlic-pepper blend
1 (1 ounce) packet Hidden Valley ranch dressing mix
3⁄4 cup all-purpose flour
1⁄2 cup butter
FOR THE DIPPING SAUCE:
1 cup Hidden Valley buttermilk ranch salad dressing
1 teaspoon Tabasco hot pepper sauce, plus more to taste

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Sprinkle all sides of drummettes with garlic pepper; set aside.

In a large zip-top bag, combine the dressing mix and the flour; mix well. Add drummettes and shake until coated.

Place the butter on a rimmed baking sheet. Place in oven until butter melts and begins to sizzle.

Add drummettes to pan and bake for 20 minutes. Turn drummettes and bake for another 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Stir together the salad dressing and hot pepper sauce. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Makes 16 servings
