1 cup oil
1 1/4 cups white wine
2 cups flour (or more depending on consistency)
Pinch of salt
dash each of nutmeg and cinnamon
3 Tablespoons fresh orange juice
Plate of honey, heated for dipping

Bring oil and wine to boil, let stand for 5 minutes. Pour into a mixing bowl, add flour mixed with spices.

Knead well, divide dough into thirds. Pin out (roll) to 1 1/2 inch thickness, you want long strips. Cut each strip into 2 inch pieces.

Fry in deep hot oil. Cool and dip in hot honey.

2 lbs flour
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
4 eggs
1 cup Vermouth
1/2 cup corn oil
1 orange, zest grated and juiced
Honey

Put all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix. Pour wet ingredients in the center; mix.

Roll and cut into 1x2-inch pieces.

Fry in hot oil 2 to 3 minutes and drain.

In a large fry pan, add 2 tbsp water, 1 tsp sugar. When boiling, add 4 Tbsp honey and when that foams, add 9 to 10 of the fried Turdilli to coat. Put on plate and start over with honey mixture. For an added touch, you can coat with candy sprinkles.

1 cup butter
1 cup Wesson oil or Mazola oil
1 cup Crisco
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup Muscat white wine (no other substitute)
2/3 cup whiskey

Boil the above ingredients together and let cool. (Do not boil too long).

In a large bowl, beat, just to blend:
2 large eggs
Then add a cup at a time:
12 cups flour
Knead, place dough on floured board and knead dough until smooth. Cover with towel or plastic.

Cut a small amount and roll until about 12 to 15 inches long. Roll perfectly round and cut about 1 1/2 to 2 inches long. Take the 2-inch turdilli and roll on basket, or glass that has ridge design, just to make indentation: put on a cooky sheet.

Heat oil in electric cooker to 350 degrees. Use wooden spoon to stir from bottom of kettle and they will float to the top and cook until nice and brown, then use slotted spoon and place in bowl with paper towel to absorb oil.

Let cool and honey dip. Let dry and honey dip one more time.

FOR THE HONEY DIP:
Dilute honey with a little water in kettle and heat the honey to dip turdilli. If honey starts to cool, just reheat the honey.
