Recipe(tried): Jams without pectin

Misc.
You can make berry jams without pectin, easily and successfully. Just use 8 cups of the fruit, 6 cups of sugar and about 1/4 cup lemon juice. You have to boil it around 20 minutes, until it sheets from a spoon, or is the right temp on your thermometer. Be sure and water bath it. Most of them take 15 minutes, but check similiar recipes in the Ball Blue Book. I even do peach and apricot with out pectin. Works for me--JanK
