Recipe: Lemon Chicken For Slow Cooker (using honey and fresh lemon or orange juice)

LEMON CHICKEN FOR SLOW COOKER

1 lemon
1 whole roasting chicken (to fit in slow cooker)
1/2 cup honey (optional)
1/2 cup fresh orange or lemon juice

Rinse and dry chicken. Pierce the lemon with fork and place in the chicken cavity. Place chicken in slow cooker.

Combine honey (if using) with the orange or lemon juice and pour over the chicken.

Cover crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours.

Serves 6 to 8, depending on size of the chicken
