Recipe(tried): Lemon Cookies

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
This recipe ran in a local paper in the late 70's. Believe it or not, I had a xerox copy of another (a Pillsbury ad in a magazine) IN MY HAND less than an hour ago. I've lost it somewhere between beginnings of dinner preparation and taking a phone call. I'll post it later when (or if) I find it! I know it was similar.

Lemon Cookies

l package Duncan Hines lemon cake mix
1 egg
2-1/2 cups Cool Whip
Confections Sugar, sifted

In a bowl, mix everything except the confections sugar into a smooth dough (it is stiff and sticky). Pinch off bits and shape into walnut-sized balls. Roll in the confections sugar. Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. I like mine a little chewy so I remember not baking them for the longer period but it has literally been years since I've baked them.
