Recipe(tried): Macaroni and Cheese with Smoked Sausage (re: Justin Wilson Mac and Cheese)
Main Dishes - CasserolesI cook this recipe on a regular basis. I don't have specific amounts because I usually just do it from memory.
I cook a box of macaroni till done usually a 2 pound box. I take about a pound or so of smoked sausage, or some other similar such as polish sausage whatever you like dice it or chunk it as you desire. I take about a pound of mushrooms and slice them. fresh or canned if necessary. take a large onion and dice it up. I shred about 1/2 lb of swiss cheese, 1/2 lb cheddar, and 1/2 lb of one of the soft white cheeses monteray jack, or something like that.
For seasoning add garlic, little salt and pepper about 1/8 cup of louisiana hot sauce as your tastes dictate and about 1/4 cup of worchestershire sauce more or less as you desire. place in a casserole dish for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees F. If I am in a hurry I will use a microwave and it is about as good.
I hope this helps I lost the written recipe years ago but that is how I make it today.
I will say this the best macaroni recipie I have ever had. bar none. I garonteee
