Molasses Pudding 1
3 eggs
2 c. molasses
3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. sugar
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients; beat
until thoroughly mixed. Place in 2-quart casserole. Bake at
350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center
comes out clean.
Molasses Pudding 2
2 eggs
1 c. molasses
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. melted butter
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. each: baking soda,
allspice, cloves, baking
powder and cinnamon
Add beaten eggs to sugar, molasses and melted butter.
Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together and hot
water. Pour in 9 x 13-inch greased pan and bake 30 to 40
minutes at 350 degrees.
Molasses Pudding 3
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. cold water
1/2 c. diced candied fruit
1/2 c. white raisins
Mix dry ingredients. Combine egg, molasses and water;
pour into dry ingredients and mix. Stir in candied fruits and raisins. Pour into 2 greased (1 pound) coffee tins. Cover, steam for 3 to 4 hours. Serve hot with lemon sauce.
Molasses Pudding 4
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
2 eggs
1/2 c. lard
1 c. milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
self-rising flour (put enough
to make as cake batter)
Mix well and bake at 350 degrees. Makes 2 layers. Eat while
hot with butter. This recipe is very old.
Molasses Pudding 5
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground spice
2 round Tbsp. soft lard
1/2 c. molasses
1 1/2 c. flour (self-rising)
1 c. hot water
Mix eggs and sugar. Then add lard, molasses, flour and
spice. Blend in hot water, then add soda and immediately pour into lightly greased pan and bake at 350 degrees until top of pudding looks dry.
Molasses Pudding 6
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. milk
hunk of butter or shortening
a little nutmeg
2 eggs, beaten
enough flour to thicken
Mix all together; beat well. Pour into greased skillet
or cake pan and cook until done. This is good to eat while hot with butter.
