Recipe: Mole Verde (Green Mole Sauce)

Here is a recipe for Mole Verde (Green Mole Sauce)

1 12-ounce can tomatillos, drained and rinsed
1 4-ounce can green chili peppers, rinsed, seeded and cut up
1/4 cup vegetable broth
1 small onion, cut up
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup blanched almonds
Several sprigs cilantro
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash pepper

In blender container combine all the ingredients. Blend until smooth. Heat sauce in pan.

I have never tried this particular recipe. However, it comes from a Mexican cookbook that I have a lot of confidence in. I have tried many of the other recipes and have had much success with those. I wouldn't hesitate to use any of the recipes!!

Hope this is what you were looking for---of course there are MANY types of mole sauces and recipes. You were not very specific. If this is not what you had in mind, just post another note and I'll look through my Mexican cookbooks. Kar
