Hello there...
Long ago in a galaxy far, far away- well, you get the picture. Anyway, while I was in college, my friend and I would make a caramel dip from 1 package of wrapped carmels and 1 small container of 1/2 and 1/2. She would heat up the caramels in the microwave and then when they were all gooey, she'd pour in the 1/2 and 1/2. Heat it again and stir. It tasted fantastic- we always dipped bananas in it, but I'm sure it would work with anything. Hope this helps!
