This is the best pie crust I make:
2 cups all purpose flour and more for board
1 teaspoon salt
6 heaping Tablespoons shortening
1/2 cup cold milk (I use skim)
Combine the flour and salt in a medium bowl.
Add shortening and with a fork work the shortening into the flour until pieces are pea-size.
Add the milk and stir around until all is blended.
Shape into a ball. Flatten and wrap in plastic wrap and chill at least an hour.
Divide in half for two shells or a shell and a top crust.
