Recipe: Old Fashioned Cooked Salad Dressing

I imagine you could add some poppy seeds to this if you wish.

OLD-FASHIONED COOKED SALAD DRESSING

2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. oleo
3/4 c. milk
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Mix flour, sugar, mustard, salt and egg in top of double
boiler. Add remaining ingredients and beat with wire whisk or beater until blended. Cook and stir continuously until thick. Chill.
