Recipe: Parmesan Multi-Grain Loaf with Parmesan Garlic Butter (bread machine)
Breads - Bread MachinePARMESAN MULTI-GRAIN LOAF
"This Parmesan-cheese flavored bread is great for sandwiches or alongside a steaming bowl of soup."
1 cup water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons honey
2 cups bread flour
1 1/2 cups Complete All-Bran Wheat Bran Flakes
1/3 cup cornmeal
1/3 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon gluten flour
2teaspoons dried basil leaves
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast
Parmesan Garlic Butter (optional, recipe follows)
Add all bread ingredients to bread machine according to manufacturer's directions. Select basic white bread cycle.
Serve with Parmesan Garlic Butter, if desired.
PARMESAN GARLIC BUTTER
1/4 cup softened butter or margarine
2 tablespoons finely shredded Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Dash of garlic powder
In small bowl stir together butter, Parmesan cheese, parsley and a dash of garlic powder. Cover and refrigerate until serving time. Let stand for 1 hour at room temperature before serving.
Makes 1 loaf, 16 servings
