Recipe: Pasta Pizzaz (using sausage, peppers and onion)

PASTA PIZZAZ
"Thirty minutes and a skillet and you've got dinner on the table!"

8 ounces spaghetti or vermicelli, uncooked
1 pound Italian sausage link, mild
1/2 cup green bell pepper, cut in strips
1/2 cup red bell pepper, cut in strips
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon Durkee Oregano Leaf
1/2 teaspoon Durkee Crushed Red Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Durkee Basil Leaf

Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.

Slice sausage into 1/2-inch coins. Brown in a skillet over medium-high heat, about 5 minutes. Add peppers and onion, cook 5 minutes. Add broth, oregano, crushed red pepper and basil; simmer for 5 minutes.

Pour sausage mixture over pasta. Serve.

Makes 4 servings
