Recipe: Peanut Butter Bonbons (Balls)

Misc.

Hi Kathy, here is a recipe that looks like what you
are looking for. I haven't tried them so don't know how
well they work. Let us know how it turned out if you try it.

Peanut Butter Bonbons (Balls)

2 cups peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
4 cups icing sugar (confectioners' sugar)
2 cups crushed rice crispies (make sure to
measure after crushing and crush in food processor)

Melt peanut butter and butter. Mix sugar and rice cereal. Pour
in butter mixture. Blend with hands. Roll into balls while warm,
then chill balls - they are difficult to roll., you have to sort
of press them into balls.

Coating: Melt large package of chocolate chips, and add
2 tablespoons shortening or a piece of paraffin wax a little
larger than a quarter (can't taste it). Dip balls into melted
chocolate with a toothpick or a fork, and tap off excess chocolate.
Lay on waxed paper lined sheet to set. These freeze well.
