Recipe: Pesach Cereal (Granola using matzo farfel)

Breakfast and Brunch
PESACH CEREAL (GRANOLA)

"Use as trail mix or serve with milk in place of granola."

1 cup oil
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter or margarine
1 (1 pound) box matzo farfel
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup pecan pieces
1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped dates

Combine oil, brown sugar, 1 cup water and butter in a large pot. Warm over medium heat.

After butter melts, mix in remaining ingredients.

Spread on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees F for 35 minutes. Mix and turn mixture every 10 minutes to keep from burning. When cooled, store in air-tight container.
