3 1/2 LB. SM OKRA PODS
4 CLOVES GARLIC
2 small HOT PEPPERS CUT IN HALF
3 cups WATER
3 cups VINEGAR
1/3 cup CANNING SALT
2 tablespoons DILL SEED
Pack okra firmly into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space. Put a garlic clove and half
pepper in each jar. Combine water, vinegar, salt and dill seed and bring to a boil. Pour hot liquid over okra, leaving 1/4 inch head space. Remove air bubbles. Adjust caps. Process 15 minutes in boiling water bath. Yield: about 4 pints. Note: When cutting hot peppers or seeding, use rubber gloves to prevent burning hands.

2 pounds small fresh okra
9 small fresh or dried hot peppers
9 cloves garlic
3 tablespoons dill seeds
4 cups white vinegar (5% acidity)
4 cups water
1/2 cup salt
1/4 cup sugar
Pack okra into 9 hot jars, filling to 1/2" from top; place 1 pepper. 1 garlic clove, and 1 tsp dill seeds in each jar. Bring vinegar and next 3 ingred. to a boil over med-high heat. Pour over okra, filling to 1/2" from top. Remove air bubbles; wipe jar rims. Cover at once with medal lids, and screw on bands. Process in boiling water bath for 10 min. Yield: 9 pint jars.
