Recipe(tried): Polish Sausage and Barbecued Beans (crock pot)

Main Dishes - Pork, Ham
POLISH SAUSAGE AND BARBECUED BEANS

2 cans (15 or 16 oz each) Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans (15 oz each) black beans, rinsed and drained
1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
1 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbsp ground mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp chili powder
1 ring of fully cooked smoked sausage (1 to 1 1/4 lbs )*

Spray a 4 quart crock pot with pam spray.

Mix all of the ingredients except for the sausage in the crock pot. Place the sausage ring on top of the bean mixture.

Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours.

*I used all of the Hillshire sausages for this recipe.

Serving suggestions: serve with dark bread and sliced crisp apples .
