Recipe(tried): Re: Request:Mexican/TexMex

Misc.

This is the absolute best pork chili i've tasted!

Chili Verde

4 Tbsp oil
4 pounds boneless pork ( i buy pork roast or butt when it goes on sale for 99 cents a pound) cubed into 3/4 # cubes. Or can sub 4 # ground beef
1/4 cup flour
4 ounce can of green chilis chopped
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp pepper
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro or parsley
1/2 to1 cup salsa
14 ounce can chicken broth

Brown meat in oil. Put it and rest of ingredients into crock pot. Cook on low until pork is tender. 6-7 hours. Can eat by itself with warmed tortillas. I use this to top cheese enchiladas and tamales
