Back in 50's - 60's my mother made this recipe once a month.
She also added two Bay Leafs while cooking then removed before serving. This is the best tomato sauce ever. We would also make meatball sandwiches with this recipe. No spaghetti just oblong hard rolls with the center pulled out sauce poured in the removed. Add one meatball at a time and some cheese and sauce. Repeat till roll is full - - - enjoy. Thank you so much for having this recipe and sharing it.
