Recipe(tried): Saltine Crackers Toffee

Desserts - Candy, Chocolate
Saltine Crackers Toffee

1 large cookie sheet
2 cups Nestle milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil.

Cover the bottom of the cookie sheet with a single layer of saltine crackers.

In a saucepan, combine the sugar and butter. Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. Immediately pour over the saltine crackers and spread the mixture to cover the crackers.

Bake at 400 degrees F for 5 or 6 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top and let sit for 5 minutes.

Spread the melted chocolate over all the crackers and sprinkle the top with chopped pecans or sliced almonds. Cool completely overnight. Then peel off the aluminum foil and break into pieces.

Yum! Yum! Yum!
