Recipe(tried): Sarah, Tuna Prices

Misc.

At Albertson's a 6 oz. can of solid white tuna packed in spring water is on sale for 99 cents per can. I've been paying $2.73 for a 12 oz. can at WalMart. I'm planning to go and show the WalMart checker the ad so that they will sell me SEVERAL 6 oz. cans for 99 cents. I didn't know why tuna prices were down, but I'm glad that they are! Thanks for the information!

RECIPE FOR TUNA SALAD

4 6 oz. cans solid white tuna, drained
1 red delicious apple, chopped fine
1/2 white onion, chopped fine
1/2 cup Claussen pickles (dill and bread and butter), chopped fine
1/2 cup chopped nuts (I use pecans)
Salt and pepper to taste
Just enough mayonnaise to bind the ingredients together
This will make a nice, big bowl. It will be enough for supper and for lunches for a day or two. My family loves it
Mix all of the ingredients, making sure to add the tuna last. Serve COLD on lettuce leaves. I usually serve fruited Jello, crackers, and sliced mozzarella cheese with this salad. For our beverage we either have sweet tea with lemon, Mama's punch, or lemonade.
