Recipe: Secret Spice Chicken Wings

SECRET SPICE CHICKEN WINGS

1/3 cup Canola or peanut oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp. molasses or honey
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 tsp. Chinese 5 spice seasoning
5 to 8 drops hot sauce
salt and pepper (to taste)
32 wingettes (16 to 20 cut up in thirds, tips discarded

Combine all ingredients except wings in plastic bowl with tight fitting lid. Add wings put lid on tightly; shake to coat wings thoroughly. Marinate at least 2 hours preferably overnight.

WHEN READY TO COOK:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Place wings on prepared baking sheet.

Bake 45-60 minutes basting frequently with marinade. (Do not baste last 15 minutes of cooking.)

Brown under broiler for a few minutes.

Makes 4 appetizer servings
