Slippery Dumplings
Serves 4
Ingredients:
2.00 c Flour; all-purpose
0.67 c Water; lukewarm
2.00 tb Shortening
1.00 ts Salt
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sift flour in mixing bowl.
Add salt, and mix in shortening.
Add water, a small amount at a time, until dough is soft but not
sticky; knead well.
Roll very thin.
Flour well while rolling.
Cut in squares.
Cook 15 minutes in chicken or beef broth.
