Recipe(tried): Slickies/Slickers

Misc.

I am re-posting a recipe for "slickers" that I posted in November. I am so
surprised to hear someone else refer to these with a name close to what we call
them. Where have you heard of them before? I would love some history on them.

My mother and grandmother used to make these all the time.

2 cups flour sifted with 1 1/2 tsps. of salt
Mix together with enough buttermilk to form dough that can be rolled out.

Roll out on floured surface. Cut with knife into 1" by 2" rectangles. Drop
slickers into boiling broth and simmer for about 15
minutes.
