Recipe(tried): Snowballs (White Chocolate Bourbon Balls) - Variation Thanks for the Snowballs!

Thanks for the Snowball recipe. I did try this and it was great!!

SNOWBALLS (WHITE CHOCOLATE BOURBON BALLS)

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter (not margarine!)
1 cup finely chopped pecans
Pecan halves (to top balls)
1 teaspoon vanilla
Powdered sugar to make dough stiff

Soak chopped pecans and pecan halves separately in Makers Mark bourbon, covered, overnite.

Mix butter, drained chopped pecans, vanilla and powdered sugar. Use enough powdered sugar to form mixture into balls.

Place balls in freezer for about an hour.

Use toothpick to dip balls into melted mixture of:

1 bag Sam's Choice (Wal-mart) white chocolate morsels
with 1/4 block parafin wax heated in double boiler.

Drain pecans and place one pecan half over top of each ball to hide toothpick hole.

Place on wax paper to chill.

About 20 minutes before serving, let stand at room temperature.

I took these to work and the guys loved them. Even peoople who don't usually like bourbon balls loved them!
