Recipe: Spicy Fruit Bars (using whole wheat flour, oats, nuts and honey)

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
SPICY FRUIT BARS

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup ground pecans or almonds
3 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Egg replacer for 1 egg (optional)
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup chopped apricots*

Gently mix together all ingredients and pour into lightly oiled 6-inch by 8-inch baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes or until done.

*Dates may be substituted for apricots.
