Recipe: Spicy Yogurt Beef Kabobs (using beef chuck) (serves 2-3)

SPICY YOGURT BEEF KABOBS

3/4 pound boneless beef chuck, cut in 1 1/2-inch chunks
FOR THE YOGURT MARINADE:
2/3 cup plain yogurt
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 small clove garlic, minced
1 small dried hot chili pepper, chopped (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin seed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Combine all the ingredients for the marinade together. Toss beef chunks with Yogurt Marinade. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

WHEN READY TO COOK:
String beef on skewers. Barbecue over hot coals about 15 minutes, turning every 5 minutes.

Makes 2-3 servings
