Recipe: Strom Thurmond's Spartanburg Cheese Logs
Appetizers and SnacksSTROM THURMOND'S SPARTANBURG CHEESE LOGS
1 lb. mild or sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup pecans
1 clove garlic
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
Dash cayenne pepper
Curry powder
Grind alternately through a meat grinder: cheese, pecans, garlic. Blend thoroughly with cream cheese and cayenne.
Form into 1-inch logs. Roll in curry powder.
Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
May also be frozen.
