Presidential Favorite Cookie recipe
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp cream
1 tsp vanilla
Additional sugar to sprinkle on cookies
Cream butter and mix well with sugar; add beaten egg yolks.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add the flour mixture to the creamed butter mixture, alternating with the cream. Add vanilla, chill for 1 hour.
WHEN READY TO BAKE:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Roll dough and cut out cookies. Place on an lightly greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 10 - 12 minutes.
