Recipe(tried): Sunshine Grits

Sunshine Grits

Even people who say they don't like
Grits Like this Dish..

3 cups of water
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup grits
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup butter
4 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon orange zest
2 Tablespoons brown sugar

Note: Amounts for water, salt, and grits represent grits for 4 to 6; measurements may vary according to package directions.)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Follow package directions for cooking grits. Remove grits from heat. Stir in orange juice, butter, eggs, and orange zest. Pour into a greased 1-1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Serves: 8 to 10.
