Recipe: Sweet and Sour Sauce

Misc.

Caroline:
I looked through several cookbooks for you and found this one that I remember
having tried a couple of years ago. I think it worked out just fine. It's just
that I don't use sweet n' sour sauce that much. And of course it's from the
brillant minds at the Moosewood Collective. Hope this is helpful!

Sweet and Sour Sauce
from Moosewood Restaurant Cooks at Home

1/4 cup catsup
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar (I'm sure I must have used honey)
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water

This is included with one of their stir-fry recipes, so of course it must be
added at the end of the cooking and will thicken (corn starch) from the heat.
