Recipe(tried): Tapenade pinwheels

Appetizers and Snacks
I saw this on French Food at home on the food network, and as I had some not-too-amazing black olive tapenade on hand, I thought I would give it a go.

Well, it is so good, I made some green olive tapenade, used up the rest of the black one, and stuck two of these to be defrosted around the X-mas mark! simple but good, if you like olives, give these a try!

TAPENADE PINWHEELS

1 package (or half a package) of puff pastry, defrosted, and rolled into a rectangle
tapenade
parmesan cheese

Spread the tapenade evenly and as close to the edges of the pastry as you can.

Sprinkle with parmesan cheese, to taste

Roll up (long edge is in front of you)to make a log, pinching the edges together. Wrap in plastic wrap, and freeze.
Partially defrost, unwrap, and slice about 1/2" thick, bake for about 10 minutes at 400F, until slightly puffed and browned.

Cheers!

Carolyn!
