Recipe: Trash Bag Goodies

Appetizers and Snacks
TRASH BAG GOODIES

12 oz. bag butterscotch bits
1 cup peanut butter
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1 large box Rice Chex
1 (1 lb.) box confectioners' sugar

Combine butterscotch bits, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave 2 minutes on high. Stir. Pour over Rice Chex and coat. Pour into food-grade plastic bag. Cover with confectioners' sugar and shake to coat.

Could this be it?

(I saw a couple of recipes that had chocolate chips instead of the butterscotch.)

Tonya

Editor's note:

Some recipes for this call for using trash bags to mix the ingredients. Trash bags (even paper ones) may have pesticides, fragrances, or other additions that shouldn't be used in direct contact with food. To mix ingredients it's recommended to use food storage type plastic bags or a large bowl or saucepan/stockpot (check your grocery produce section for large plastic bags used for bagging vegetables).
