Recipe: Yankee Noodle Dandies (no-bake cookies using chow mein noodles, 1970's)

YANKEE NOODLE DANDIES

1 (6 oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips
2 cans (3 oz. each) La Chow Chow Mein Noodles
1/2 cup chopped peanuts or cashews

Melt the chips together in top of double boiler over hot water. Remove from heat and quickly stir in chow mein noodles and nuts until they are evenly coated.

Drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper. Chill. Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.

Makes 36 cookies
