ISO: amount of yeast to equal one cake of yeast

Misc.
I have an old recipe for Hot Cross Buns. I calls for 8 cups of flour and ONE CAKE of yeast. What size cake are they calling for, I remember the small cakes but all I find in the stores is the large cake. I made these 30 years ago and remember them to be good and makes a lot or I would try another one. Help.
