ISO: Apple or Blueberry Pandowdy

My grandmother, long since passed away, made a recipe with apples or blueberries which she called pandowdy. I think it was actually a steamed pudding made in a special pan that had 3 compartments for the fruit, and the mixture of flour and whatever went on top. I have searched for such a pan and cannot find one, nor have I been able to find a recipe. I am dealing with hazy recollections. I would love to be able to replicate the dish for her now elderly children.
