ISO: Apricot/peach preserves?

Hi Laurie, I was just wondering, what are peach /apricot "preserves"?
is it just jam? like totally smooth ?
or does it have chunks of apricots/peaches in it ? or is it whole apricots/peaches in a syrup ?

just i cant find them =(.
