ISO: bagel chips

would anyone know how to make bagel chips....i can cut them with my slicer very thin and i would think place the in the oven to toast but how would i make them have a flavor....if i brush butter on them with garlic or something wouldnt that make them wet? i want to make them like the ones you buy in the bags......any help would be appreciated.....thanks nicky
