ISO: baked, candied onion recipe
Misc.I saw a recipe in a recent search that I failed to keep. The recipe is simple and is only three ingredients (I think). I was looking for an easy dish to add flavor to a sagging diet plan searching for a a fat free french onion soup recipe. I happened across a recipe that was to lightly coat sliced onion in olive oil, then shake in sugar, spread on cookie sheet and bake until golden brown and crispy. I do not recall the temperature at which to bake, or even how long. They may have even been broiled. I have searched the net to no avail. I did try this but was only able to get soggy onions or over cooked. None the less, they were a wonderful treat. Does anyone have any suggestions?
