ISO: Cake recipe using cake mix with ice cream in the batter

This message is a request for a recipe.
Has anyone made a cake with ice cream in the batter? The recipe calls for 1 white cake mix, 3 eggs, and 1 pint of melted ice cream. I tried it and it was ok but the texture was more like corn bread than cake. Is there a recipe for a smoother batter?
