Hi Carol,

Thank you for letting us know how it turned out. I'm thinking that maybe the texture is supposed to be like a dense quick bread. The mixing procedure is more like a quick bread - stirring just until combined instead of beating. I haven't tried the recipe but maybe someone who has will have some info to share.
