ISO: cheese frenche sandwich form Kings Food Host (1960's)

Misc.
Back in the 1960's I took my children to a place called Kings food host. We would order a sandwich called a cheese frenche. They also had a tuna frenche. I've looked all over for this recipe. Could some one help??? It was made with bread cut in 1/4 , I think it had mayo on bread with cheese. then it was deep fat fried. It had a crunch on the out side. They were the best.
Thanks
Lois
