ISO: Cookies for serviceman

Misc.
My husband's friend is serving in Iraq and we would like to send him a care package. I would make cookies if anyone would send a method or recipe that works. We also plan to send granola and other nonfood items. But homemade cookies would be my first choice if it's possible. Any advice?
